Writing Experience
Freelance Writer, Otaku USA Magazine 2007 – present
As a freelance writer, I write features, articles, and reviews about aspects of Japanese pop culture, including but not limited to animation, television, and live-action cinema. I also write a regular column on the Otaku USA Magazine website (www.otakuusamagazine.com) titled The Vault of Error.

The Vat (feature-length screenplay)
The Vat is a screenplay for a low-budget, independent horror movie about a young man who inherits his late uncle’s sideshow museum, only to discover that one of the attractions is a monstrous mermaid with a hypnotic voice and an insatiable appetite for human flesh.

Sasquatch Rides a Harley and Porn Gnomes
I’ve published two collections of twenty-one total short stories in eBook form on the Amazon Kindle store. I write short works of humorous fantasy, speculative fiction, and macabre horror.

Education
Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, Full Sail University 2011 – 2012
Earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. I won six Course Director’s Awards for leadership and academic excellence. I also won the Advanced Achiever Award – an award that is granted annually to only one student in each program. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA.

Bachelor of Arts in English, Florida International University 2003 – 2005
Earned a BA in English from Florida International University in Miami, FL. I won the Academic Excellence in English award in 2005. My specialization was English literature, with a focus on the Romantic Period.

Associate of Arts, St. Petersburg College 2000 – 2003
Earned an AA from St. Petersburg College in Tarpon Springs, FL.

Proficiencies
I am the host of two podcasts, The Greatest Movie EVER! Podcast (gmepodcast.com) and the Silicon Chickens Project (siliconchickens.wordpress.com), and I have produced, recorded, edited, and published over 300 episodes of audio entertainment in MP3 format. I have volunteered with children’s theater organizations and the local public library.

Computer Skills
I am proficient in Microsoft Office and Final Draft. I am skilled with Audacity, Skype, and Microsoft Moviemaker. I publish regularly to social media software such as WordPress, Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube.
